Summer activities

Whether you spend your holiday hiking in the mountains or riding mountain bikes, the Krkonoše are always beautiful. Our apartments will stand for an ideal base for these activities. Vrchlabí and its surroundings offer wide range of opportunities to enjoy active summer holiday – from hiking, cycling, aqua park, tennis, golf, horseback riding, school of paragliding, parachuting or flying with glider, to riding on a bobsleigh track.  Among recommended places for trips are Žalý, Medvědín, and Horní Mísečky, and the spring of the river Elbe, Elbe waterfall, waterfall Pančava, Zlaté návrší and the Monument of Hanč and Vrbata (Mohyla Hanče a Vrbaty) are always worth seeing.

Beer festival in Vrchlabí

Beside the traditional presentation of many breweries, gustation of beers and competitions there is always plentiful cultural programme as a part of the festival. It always takes place in August.

Scenic flights above Krkonoše Mountains from Vrchlabí airport 

The airport is open from April to November due to climatic conditions. A sightseeing flight over the Krkonoše Mountains, Adršpach, or the Bohemian Paradise is an unforgettable experience for many. The popular GreenHouse bistro can be visited even outside the airport's opening hours. Sightseeing flights take place every weekend and on Friday afternoons, depending on the weather.

Bobsleigh track– Špindlerův Mlýn – an ideal destination for families with children, sportsmen and organised groups

The summer bobsleigh track in Špindlerův Mlýn offers an active way of time utilisation for tourists and active persons regardless age. It is located in the Bedřichov part of the town in immediate proximity of the hotel Harmony, approximately 10 minutes away from the town centre on foot.  There are also parking lots for cars and buses available 100 m from the bobsleigh track.
